More fun than singing in the shower. It really help to remove any inhibition you may have about playing in a group.

Ukulele Party
. . . as the name implies, it's just a party for ukulele players. Singing not required, nor expected. You can sing if you want to. We play along with Youtube videos using the Chordify.net website. The computer screen is projected to a screen so that all can easily see.
Note in the above picture, the white area in the lower left. An annimated row of chord diagrams will move right to left as the song plays. The "G" chord second from the left is bolded and is the current chord.
The lower right shows the actual Youtube video as it plays. Lyrics may be displayed there.
The advantages of this system are that; (1. you will not loose your place (2. Chords are shown as diagram, not text (3. You are accompanied by a band (4. You can sing as loud as you like and no one will hear you.

1. Watch this video - He explains the insturment and you will learn what you need to know before you get started.

2. Consider group lessons with Scott Lloyd DeWitt. He teaches about the chords and strum patterns. A great way to get started.
